L’Alliance française des industries du numérique (AFNUM) interpelle les législateurs européens pour garantir la cohérence des différents régimes qui encadrent les mises à jour logicielles.
Dans une déclaration commune avec 18 autres organisations professionnelles du monde entier, l’AFNUM alerte sur le risque de contradiction entre les différentes initiatives politiques sur le sujet, en particulier le futur Règlement sur l’Ecoconception des smartphones et des tablettes. Il est essentiel que les décideurs politiques priorisent l’articulation des différentes mesures réglementaires et réduisent les risques d’incohérence.
Comme indiqué dans la lettre adressée aujourd’hui à plusieurs responsables européens, cette fragmentation instaure des barrières empêchant l’écosystème, l’industrie, la société civile, les organismes de normalisation et les experts techniques de répondre pleinement aux besoins de technologies évolutives et des menaces à venir en matière de cybersécurité. Pour cette raison, nous appelons à éviter une approche excessivement prescriptive en ce qui concerne les exigences sur les mises à jour logicielles.
