Le marché unique est le pilier d’un projet européen vieux de 30 ans et contribue fortement à la compétitivité de l’Union.

Il se trouve aujourd’hui dans une situation critique : à l’heure actuelle, seules 10 des 100 plus grandes entreprises technologiques du monde sont européennes et seulement 8 % des PME exercent leurs activités au-delà d’une frontière.

De nombreuses barrières entravent la croissance des fleurons européens de la tech : une régulation excessive et parfois redondante, des règles différentes par Etat Membre, un manque d’investissements, un déficit de talents, etc.
