L’AFNUM se réjouit de cette annonce et souligne l’importance d’un tel accord pour l’ensemble des acteurs économiques européens.
L’invalidation du Privacy Shield, par la Cour de Justice de l’Union européenne en juillet 2020 a créé une insécurité juridique impactant des milliers d’entreprises des deux côtés de l’Atlantique.
C’est pourquoi l’AFNUM, tout en saluant cette annonce, appelle les pouvoirs publics à élaborer un accord solide, pérenne et instaurant un régime clair pour les transferts de données.
Maintenir un équilibre entre la fluidité des échanges de données et la protection de la vie privée demeure essentiel autant pour les entreprises que pour les citoyens européens.
L’AFNUM souhaite également que ce nouvel accord serve de socle au développement des prochaines initiatives transatlantiques comme le Trade and Technology Council (TTC).
