Paris, le 31 janvier 2023 – Dans le cadre de la campagne de dons « Laptops for Ukraine », lancée par l’association numérique européenne Digitaleurope, en lien avec la Commission européenne et le ministère de la transformation numérique de l’Ukraine, l’AFNUM (Alliance française des Industries du Numérique) ouvre un point de collecte à Paris pour réunir des appareils électroniques fonctionnels à envoyer aux hôpitaux, aux écoles et aux institutions publiques ukrainiennes, afin qu’elles puissent rester connectées à internet.
Face aux effets dévastateurs de la guerre en Ukraine et au déplacement de millions de personnes, une campagne de collecte de matériel informatique a été lancée au niveau européen. Son objectif est de collecter 50.000 appareils informatiques et mobiles auprès d’entreprises et de particuliers souhaitant faire don d’ordinateurs, tablettes et smartphones en bon état de fonctionnement. Grâce à l’initiative de l’AFNUM, la France rejoint les points de collecte déjà établis dans d’autres pays européens comme l’Allemagne, la Belgique, l’Espagne, l’Estonie, la Roumanie, la République Tchèque et la Slovénie. Les équipements ainsi collectés seront ensuite envoyés en Ukraine grâce au mécanisme de protection civile de l’Union Européenne.

Florence ROPION, Présidente de l’AFNUM, déclare que « l’AFNUM est fière d’être le hub français de cette opération. Les infrastructures numériques, télécoms et de communications sont vitales pour le fonctionnement d’un Etat, encore plus dans une telle situation. Déjà en mai 2022, l’AFNUM cosignait un courrier avec Digitaleurope et 7 autres organisations
professionnelles européennes pour alerter la Commission européenne sur l’urgence d’organiser une action concertée pour la fourniture de matériel informatique et mobile. L’Europe a répondu présent et nous accompagne dans cette opération. Grâce à notre réseau et à la communauté, nous avons la capacité d’aider à fournir les appareils dont les hôpitaux, écoles et institutions ukrainiennes ont besoin. Nous sommes ainsi fidèles aux valeurs exprimées par la signature de l’AFNUM : Ensemble, donnons du sens au numérique ! ».
Stella MORABITO, Déléguée générale de l’AFNUM, ajoute que « depuis bientôt un an, les Ukrainiens font preuve d’une volonté et d’une résilience hors pair. Le numérique, par ses multiples usages, peut permettre de poursuivre ces efforts, d’assurer aux enfants un accès à l’éducation et de garantir à tous le bon fonctionnement des administrations publiques et
hospitalières. Nous espérons que cette campagne aidera à soulager le peuple ukrainien et à lui assurer le maintien de la connectivité, tout en renforçant ses moyens de sauvegarder la démocratie ».
Une fois arrivés en Ukraine, les dons seront distribués par le ministère de la transformation numérique ukrainien à ceux qui en ont le plus besoin, en fonction de l’âge et de l’utilisation prévue de l’équipement, ainsi que des principaux besoins du pays. QUELQUES CHIFFRES-CLES:
▪ Depuis l’invasion de l’Ukraine par la Russie, plus de 6000 personnes sont mortes, 623 hôpitaux et 2663 écoles ont été bombardés
▪ Aujourd’hui, 6,6 millions de personnes ont dû quitter leur foyer en Ukraine. Dans ce contexte, il est devenu extrêmement difficile de maintenir un accès aux services essentiels et de garantir que les canaux de communication restent fiables.
▪ Près de 70 000 professeurs ont un besoin urgent d’ordinateurs pour pouvoir continuer à enseigner, et 200 000 élèves ont besoin d’appareils électroniques pour pouvoir continuer à accéder à l’éducation.
▪ En outre, de nombreux appareils sont nécessaires dans d’autres secteurs, notamment pour aider le personnel médical et soignant et pour l’administration publique.

Les équipements seront à déposer à l’accueil de l’Espace Hamelin, situé au 17 rue de l’Amiral Hamelin, 75116 Paris, en précisant qu’il s’agit d’un don de matériel à destination de l’opération de collecte gérée par l’AFNUM, « Laptops for Ukraine ».
